what a beautiful cat...one thing about cats
my sweet friend...is they take over the house...
and they love to prowl the house at night...
I wish I could have one...but I am allergic to them...
sigh...

You chose such a lovely picture of a kitten--those eyes are about as wide open as can be.
The first line seems awkward to read or say. The two lines about energy might be reworded, so they don't repeat themselves so closely.
Good effort.

You worked the heck out of those words. They fit seamlessly in your completed poem. It would be nice to have them bold or a different color so the reader may see how well you have done. The overall vocabulary is good throughout. The font is large and easy to read. The visual fit perfectly. If the cat pictured is your Suri, she is a BEAUTY! Good luck in this contest. I think this poem,"Curiosity's Eyes," could've been made to flow much better with a little more work. Eg., rather than "affirm instinctive acute senses," how about ' affirm senses acute and instinctive' ? The flow is improved, and generally flow/meter is a critical ingredient of poetry in general and humorous poetry in particular. Cats are great topics for poetry, and their amazing gymnastics alone are a challenge for poets to describe amusingly.
