Meg is startled, but she understands that she's going to be murdered and accepts whatever Bessie and Margot can think of to stop it. Margot struggles because she has fallen in love with Miles. This is great. You really left things up in the air for us. At least we know it was a woman who planned to cut the saddle straps. Meg is startled, but she understands that she's going to be murdered and accepts whatever Bessie and Margot can think of to stop it. Margot struggles because she has fallen in love with Miles. Great work. Sorry I'm out of sixes already. judi

You're very welcome. I complain about the number of female murderers who turn up on some of the detective shows I watch, because in reality they're far outnumbered by the males. Of course. a woman killer can add more suspense and drama. judi

'a writhing crescendo' - what a great phrase! Half way through their conversation, I was reminded me of a line from the Matrix 'you have the look of someone who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up' - that felt very much like Meg somewhere in the middle there.
Love the cliffhanger ending - I'd be shouting at the telly if this was an episode of a drama :-)
No nits to note - I very much enjoyed this chapter.

Love the cliffhanger ending - I'd be shouting at the telly if this was an episode of a drama :-)

This chapter was awesome, Sandra. I enjoyed reading it. You
did a great job adding pertinent details to keep the story flowing
smoothly. You gave readers a hint about two people in the kitchen
who could be, or possible one is, the culprit. I've always thought it
was Jane (I mentioned her in one of my previous reviews). She had
access, though her motive hasn't been made clear IF she's the one.
The scenes with Meg and Margot in the same room were handled
well. You did a great job portraying the feelings of both--esp
where Miles was concerned. You set the possible 'death scene'
up well. Readers were given the facts in a way they could picture
the possibility. Now. . . I can hardly wait for the outcome!

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Robert, and the sixth star! I'm glad you enjoyed the Meg-Margot meeting. I tried to imagine what I'd feel like in Meg's place meeting my double. Margot had already seen her when she first transported back in time, before she took Meg over.

and it's good to have Johnny here...he helps
do odds and ends around here...it's been a long time sense I had someone take out the garbage...he just does it before I even know it's done...feels strange...he's already talking about coming back next summer...
