Thank you, Sandra! Believe it or not, the idea of Ebb and Flow and the wizard originated in my head as a children's story. It seems it took a passionate twist, lol. Thank you again, Sandra. Hugs

I could see this as a really good story for children. You should use it again and see how it would turn out for a children's book. I've written loads of books for children, and love writing them. I have two to do before Christmas! xxx

I know I love your Children's stories and poems. I think I've been away from that genre for too long. Perhaps when I find my inner child again. It goes in cycles.

It has the theme of star crossed lovers, together but not together because of the spell of the wizard, so they can never be in sync. You maintained the theme throughout, reminding us of the tides of life, constantly ebbing and flowing. I liked the personification. Well done. It's very original and creatively expressed.

I've got to tell you, John, this is, I believe, the first poem I've read by you. I'm really impressed, though I'm not one to set the bar on what's well-written and what's not. There are others to get into meter and rhyming, and such. I enjoyed the constancy of image, once you established that the wizard cast his liquid spell. I loved the give and take between the lovers' ebb and flow -- and how they ultimately made the best of a bad situation.

I think this is the first time I've read a poem by you - very nice! This is an unusual subject; although we know of ebb and flow, I've never seen it as the subject for a poem before.

Thank you, Pam! Yes, I have written a few, but it's not my genre unless I get the urge to enter a contest or I have to vent, Lol. Thank you for being so gracious. Usually, with poetry contests, I always pray for beginner's luck as the talent is off the charts. Thanks again.
