This was beautiful on so many levels. First the story of the cursed lovers was incredible. Second the evocative tone of this. Very rhythmic like the water itself. Then the phrases that caught my attention were 'her rooted banks and silted lips' and 'Flow swirls beneath his churning tide'. Those were mesmerizing lines. Thank you for posting.

John, I like this poem. It was interesting to read. It's seemed to be about waves having the traits of lovers. That's some serious personification. Did you mean to have two lines lighter than the others? If so, I think you should do more than those two lines. I would do at least 4 lines, and when they are read together, they form a poem within a poem. If a mistake than darken lines 5 and 9. This is an attractive cursive font, but the capital A is written strangely. As for the visual, I would have selected a scene of the waves ebbing and flowing. The poem is good.
