This is a beautifully stated entry to the My Faith contest. The message is clearly presented. Your rhyme scheme is on point. The visual fits well. I only wish the text was a bit larger. Thank you for sharing a message about your faith.

Paul, you are welcome. I hope so because my daughter at 22 preceded me there. You had a good poem.

Paul,
What a lovely place you describe! Arm in arm with those who had previously been foes - without the need for mediators or peace talks. Sounds a wee bit different than the places I've been lately, eh? I hate that God wasn't a bit more front and center - but it's your poem. *smile*
Sorry to be so late reading! I enjoyed!

I forgive you. . .

When I am walking, arm in arm
With that one soul who did me harm,
It's God who wiped away the stain
That in my heart did cause me pain.

Ahhhh.... see how nice that is?

Thanks, Joanne. I don't know exactly what is over there, but there is something. Maybe we will finally meet.

In my opinion, a stunning write in message, presentation, and most importantly, the smooth rhythm and ease of its rhyming flow - fully compliant with the prompt. Best wishes in the contest with this special piece...

It may take some time to see you there, Paul, because I harbor a tentative belief in reincarnation...Eve

I haven't ruled out reincarnation.

Neither have I. I was and am interested in the Rosicrucians - the only thing hindering my study of their philosophy, is the distance of their physical location from me...Eve

Well done and congrats. on all time best Paul. Your story/poem is exactly my thoughts on passing over. My dad told me about the Silver Cord (google it) every night we travel to our real home via the cord. I look forward to seeing my loved ones and there is no fear. K XX

A rather uplifting poem despite its sombre subject, this is actually about forgiveness in the life that comes after. I would like to think i will forgive certain people when i meet them after death, so i am given hope by these nice words. Its a lovely piece. Well done.

Hello Paul. I spent Saturday attending a funeral mass for a wonderful man who died at 93 years young...
I'd known him for 37 years and had never had a harsh word with him or from him. I was struck by what a joyous celebration of his life this was!
As I read your beautifully written poem I thought of this man, Raymond...
I had a near death experience myself which forever quashed any donuts I had that there is life beyind this.
I pray it is precisely as you describe... And I hope Raymond is learning the ropes as I leave these six stars with you!

Thanks, Karenina. You are too kind. I have had experiences that have convinced me of a spiritual afterlife. I'll see you there.

Great! If it's all the same, I'm in no hurry either!

Paul, WOW~ Your faith poem could be read as a "how to - what to" expect in the passage into eternal life! The lion lays down with the lamb and your projections are such a positive evocation of the next stage of Spiritual life. Kudo's and I truly hope your offering wins this contest~

Thanks, Jim. My view of the afterlife has changed quite a bit from what it was when I was a youngster.

Paul,
your great poem ponders. the question, "What will death and Heaven be like.
I like that our squabbles with neighbors and family will be behind us.
There will be so many things to do in Heaven, like you expound, and people will have an eternity to do them.
Good luck.
Awesome poem, Paul.
Blessings,
Cindy

Thanks, Cindy. I hope there are many things to do in heaven, because it would be quite boring just to sit around for eternity.
