Thank you for posting The Lord's Prayer.
You are right, this time-proven prayer is often overlooked in the long-winded sermons we hear in church today. We recently changed from a large-congregation church to a small, more personal church and we love the pastor, and the small group of people who attend.
Wonder declaration of your faith!

Thank you for the beautiful reminder. Yes, Jesus taught us to pray. I have often thought of all the time Jesus spent in pray as perfect as He was. He set the example; we must spend much of our time in prayer.

Thank you for sharing this about the Lord's Prayer. I am so glad that Jesus taught his disciples this and left us a pattern for the way we should pray, starting out with praise and worship, asking God to have His will in our lives and our world, and then presenting our petitions to Him, and ending with praise again.

Yes, this is a powerful prayer. Thanks for reminding us to pray it again and again.
There is a big power in prayer. It heals and saves, and Jesus always hears our prayers.
Thank you very much. God bless.

How easy it seems to be to take the simple and make it hard to understand. Jesus, said this prayer for a reason. It was to be Christians standards, along with the laws.

In today's society, there are people who do not believe in God. They do not want to hear his name. And at Christmas, we wish people "Happy Holiday."
I feel that when they took prayer out of school in the sixties, things began getting out of control. Then they took away pictures and statues of Jesus and God.
Now look at the world. Look at what we are going through. Thank you for sharing.

Then wnen they added, press 1 for English. But taking prayer out of schools was the worse. Blessings, Barbara. xo

Oh yes, press 1 for English. Thankfully, more people speak fluent English these days. Blessings to you. Have a great evening.

"Dear Father" includes the complete "Our Father" prayer of such great Christian fame. The prayer can't really be included in judging the poem; its wording has been around for centuries. I think a better job could've been done on this if the author considered setting up a situation in which the recitation of the prayer solved a human problem - like Tiny Tim's "God bless us each and every one."

Beautiful! Yes the prayer is beautiful! I was sorry to hear it is ignored
in some churches. In my church it is said every day. These words mean
a lot to mean and help through my daily life. The artwork is perfect and compliments this poem. Thank you....Maria

A prayer I honestly begin my nightly prayers with every single night.
3rd line: (they) should be (thy)
4th line: (they) should be (thy)
5th line: (they) should be (thy)
The most succinct and beautiful prayer available. And we do need it now, more than ever before.
