Beautiful, that's all any of us needs. Anything else is simply wants. Let's keep it simple. The three "needs" you list will indeed result in happiness. Myself, I must include God. But your poem says it best.

    You are right - God is first and foremost, and He supplies all our needs. Not necessarily our wants. I appreciate your thoughtful review.

The basics for some are much more simple than others. With only a large leaf for shelter from the rain, they have big smiles on their faces, and no technology in site. Good luck in the contest wendy,

Beautifully stated 3-5-3 poem. I agree with your sentiments. The text is large and easy to read. The message is clearly understood. The visual is okay. Unsure why you are showing Asian children. The simple life is suited for everyone. Good luck in the contest.

    Yes, the simple life is for us all. I just thought the image of the two happy boys was perfect as it shows how one can easily make do with simple things eg a big leaf for shelter, showing initiative and care for each other. Their nationality was irrelevant. But the more prosperous we are the harder we find it to truly live simply. We worry too much about "things". I think in fact that those without too many possessions are often happier, as relationships become more important than possessions. Thank you for reviewing. I was not being racist in any way - I just thought the picture was delightful, showing love and ingenuity.

    I agree with your comments. I was just curious why you selected that photo. your reasoning makes sense, and the photo supports it. It was a good read.

The written words herein are a prime example to follow to lead a simple life. What more is needed than food in the tummy, a roof overhead and at least one b.o.f.?

You summed up contentment well. To be contented is a kind of godliness and freedom from greed. Feeling that kind of lasting happiness with what we have is the best. Hope this does well in the contest!

Beautiful picture... One brother protecting another. Simple life for
sure before all the family chaos erupts along the way and lingers
even into old age. You have listed the three simple necessities of
life. If only more people could be happy with what they have.
