lol, I feel as though you had lots of fun writing this, and you managed to point your poking stick of fun in lots of little directions. I enjoyed the blase way they spoke about things, and I believe the publishing world is at least this cynical.
Great fun - and I didn't notice and tense changes, lol (mainly because you avoided writing anything but dialogue).

Well I can be a bit crazy at times, and mad as well, and probably also "off" so it could well suit. I thought it was fun to see my name there and try and see if there were any similarities! Lol. And you, of course, are no blockhead! It was a fun piece.
