While the poem did a good job identifying that Shirley was the narrator of the poem, I had trouble figuring out if there was a movie on a ship out at sea. Also, were they taking pictures? Otherwise, why mention pearly whites... or did she just want everyone to smile?

Hello, Dubstahley: I thank you for your review. You are appreciated. My friend, you had trouble figuring out if there was a movie on a ship out at sea...because there was no such movie. The good ship lollipop, was a popular song that Shirley used to sing in one of her movies. You've got the picture taking analogy figured out. There was no pictures being taken. That was just Shirley's playful way of trying to make us smile. "Say cheese. Pearly whites please." I apologize in that I was unable to make you see what I intended to make you see in my poem. I'll do better, next time. I promise. God bless you, Dubstahley. Cordially: rhonnie69.

I like the use of the movie trivia to give the hints. Of course, you'd have to be living under a rock not to understand this was about Shirley Temple. She was a darling curly haired, dimple checked little girl. Your poem paid a great homage to her. Well written.
