I love your nine-year old self poem. It's poignant and covers a lot of aspects of your 9-year-old life. The ending is so good because you got in where you were raised. The rhyme scheme also works well with every 2nd and 4th line rhyming. Well-done, and you were a cutie too!

You have a wonderful weekend as well. I loved HR Puffinstuff! The boy who played Jimmy, Jack Wild, also played the artful dodger in the musical Oliver. Thats where I fell in love with him. I never missed a Monkees episode. Thanks for reading my poem. :)

Great poem for the contest. I love the details in the poem that make it real and personal for the reader. It shows happiness even though things were tight financially. Loved this one.
