So nice to look back on our lives and realize that the Lord has walked with us every step of the way. Even though our body grows older, our heart remains young as we rejoice in His love

An excellent poem of faith. As we age, this is a profound reminder of who we are and whose we are.
Your faith and wisdom come shining through in each line.
Well done.
Blessings

When I need spiritual guidance on Fanstory, I look for a Roy Owens poem as I know that's precisely what I'll find. And Roy, you always deliver. I love how your poems flow, and rhyme. They always read so comfortably.

I like the statement or message you have written of how mankind is shaped. It is interesting. You are a true poet. I will someday write like this but by not copying. I will make my own original poems. Excellent work, my friend!

I enjoyed this verse about salvation.
This a relevant topic now more than ever. I say that because of the the state of our country.
I feel that people are lost in all of the politics of the day, subsequently a divided nation.
This verse leaves a strong message, one that I hope all of your readers will receive.
Thanks for sharing.

Roy, This is a very good and very well written poem my friend. You used very good and very truthful words. The art work you chose is amazing and the scripture you chose is great. I am so very thankful the Lord loved me enough to bring me back from death, hell and the grave many years ago. Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Teri

Roy,
It's true that Christ's love and grace are our strength.
I really like your author's notes; when we're saved, our old self dies...
I feel I squandered some of my youth by not being saved.
The last stanza is awesome, Roy. And it's really comforting that God has my hand.
Have a really great weekend, Roy. I am a better person spiritually for knowing you.
Blessings,
Cindy

A nice meditation on the Christian's journey through life to the promised land meeting God at the end of the journey not losing one's faith along the way. like the last stanza
But death could never hold Him down,
He rose to life and wears love's crown.
When He arose He grasped my hand,
I live with God in Beulah Land.

Amen! Yes, we are all aging but our hearts and souls keep getting younger in the Lord Who gave us eternal life in Him through faith in Who He is and what He accomplished for us. I especially loved your last two stanzas!
