Thank you, Jesus, for the grace of God. Else we would all be "toast." There would be no way any of us could live up to the Christ like image we strive for. Couldn't agree more with this one.

It is good to remind ourselves often that we are precious to God, and also that we are on earth to serve and reflect Him to others, not reflect ourselves - and praise Him for that. We also do need to remember our place, and that He alone gives value, but not superiority - His love is for all and so must ours be, despite the way they may act towards us. Well written, and clearly presented poem.

Amen! Thank you for this good reminder! That Jesus calls us "brother, friend and kin," even though are but thorns - like the thorns that came after the Fall. May we always keep walking in His grace.

I remember saying this before, but I can't always be original. I like your poems where you affirm your faith, they always flow well and give the reader pause for thought as to their own place in life. Here I particularly like the words:
I exist to merely serve,
not here at my own whim
Service is one of the five ways of showing love, so in my mind you could also be writing of existing to love others and God - this is a fine reason to be, I feel. Kate xx
