I am only 49 years old. I think, living in the present is best. I don't want to rush the lifecycle. However, you are enthusiastic for the future to near. Well stated feelings and thoughts in a poem. Good luck to you.

With each waking day, you are not only surprised to have woken up, still in possession of life, you may also begin to wonder, will today be the day, or perhaps tomorrow? We must not think too long on when, how, where; will it be peaceful, hurtful or pleasant? The end will come, it is unavoidable, so I will not concern myself with the details. It seems that you are in a similar place.

This beautiful poem brings tears to both my eyes and heart. It is to the aged I listen for they have gained wisdom through their many years of living.
The 3rd stanza makes me check myself. Am I hurrying to get things done and in my hurry neglecting the most important part of life, that is, relationships?

Ninety eight years. WOW! Good for you! I know how you feel about losing all your friends. It is a sad thing, however yesterday I received word one of my dear friends is in a care center in a nearby city. She is ninety three or four and I had lost contact with her. I felt complete joy with that discovery! I will try to contact her now. I'm sure she will be happy too! God Bless you, Bill. Nancy:)
