A very uplifting spiritual poetry that really speaks to you. It's tender and soothing and calls you a place you want to be. Great imagery and visuals, and I love your artistic presentation.
I really enjoyed it.

I like the variety of this piece and the journey you take through the senses - not just the sense of smell you pun about in the title. I especially enjoyed the laughter on the wind.

Very nicely crafted. Great work.
The rhyming is very pleasant and the imagery inviting.
Who wouldn't want to go there?
The cry of a newborn baby was the only downer for me. I guess if you mean the moments after birth, then I could get onboard. But the "I'm wet, hungry, spoiled" crying, not so much.
God bless you.

Thank you for your review, Wayne (also my husband's name, so I love it). I changed the cry to sigh, so thanks for pointing that out, lol, crying isn't cool unless you are into newborn baby's cries.
God bless you as well,
RHonda

As the Lord spoke in metaphors when He walked and talked on Earth, He taught by imagery, and still does, that's why we live by faith, not by sight. And you've used quite a few in your great poem Rhonda, (it's good to see you in the game again) Metaphors and similes are the stock and trade of the poet, I don't think there's any difference between the spoken word and the written word. I believe the Old Testament was meant to be firstly, allegorical, because Jesus displayed the nature of God by His actions on Earth, so the rather harsh OT God is a message of how the unrepentant will be treated in their disobedience, but characters like Moses, David, Noah, Abraham deal with the faith of folk, even Anna and Simeon in the NT saw the redemption of Israel in Jesus by faith. So why I shared this with you I have no idea, I've learned not to question spontaneity heh heh, well done Rhonda, blessings Roy

Roy, I went way out of my comfort zone on this poem, but felt inspired to write it. I looked forward to you reading it and letting me know how it sounded to you.
I love allegories, and your message to me was special in other ways because it has to do with something I've been thinking about lately. I'm glad you shared it with me. It means a lot.
Take care,
Rhonda

Thank you for sharing this poem about Heaven. It really makes a difference when one believes the promises in the Bible because we don't have to fear death. That really is a sign of faith. Best wishes in the contest!

The author's words are lovely, interesting, spiritual, descriptive and
creative. I like how this author describes heaven with beauty, scents,
comfort, peace, kindness and God's love. The poem flows and connects
well. The artwork is awesome and compliments these words.
