This six liner is very good. It is hard to come up with something with just six words, but you have done it. It's really difficult to come up with 150 words for a review.

Extremely creative! I was expecting "dance" from your title, to be something similar to a type of dance-tango or a school dance. The picture of the candle and the 6 word poem was original and symbolic. This was a great read.

Congratulations on your first-place win, Gunner Lil.
I enjoyed reading your entry. I really liked the personification
used in your 6 words. With only 6 words, you told a great
little story accompanied by the perfect picture.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

This six-word poem, Sweet Dance, has the proper word count and finds the activity in the darkness that is animated by the candlelight. Nice.

Lovely image. Light never fades and joy lights the world.
I think your poem conveys well that interplay between light and shadow. Love it. All the best on your contest entry.

What is so lively about this six-word gem is it says so much! The meaning may vary from reader to reader in exact circumstances--but (to me) it seems to speak of hope! A bit of light will turn shadows less sinister...

Nice job, anonymous!

The combination of your words and chosen artwork deliver a relaxing and beautiful image. Flickering candle light is soothing, while watching shadows dance puts you in a meditative mood. Great work here. Best wishes in the contest.

Oh my -- I had a whole different read on this -- remembering loved ones who have passed with great fondness, and yet you say it is "a happy time". To me it was bittersweet, but nonetheless, it is a gorgeous, most evocative six-word poem.

Unfortunately, I can personally relate to the words of your verse very easily. We happen to live in an area that seems to lose power with even the slightest of cloudbursts. Out come the candles. My wife spots them all through the house and without even walking past them you can read the shadows as the flames dance.

Simple but oh so true.
