Freedom at its rawest and best. I have never seen such a sight, in person but I have seen it on television and in movies. Raw power unleashed. Beautiful.

As I often say, when it comes to poetry, I wouldn't know a sonnet from sorbet. But there are times with poem like yours that even a simple mind like mine can appreciate a post. Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed this poem immensely! I love horses and could picture the movement of this beautiful stallion and herd throughout. The Man From Snowy River was one of my favorite movies when I was younger, and it amazes me how much the original poem inspired the movie. :)

Yes, I like what was written but do not know if it meets the requirements of the challenging contest. I read and re-read and could not quite get comfortable with what it was we were being asked to do.

I enjoyed your poem as well as the memories it brings to me, being Australian. However I think you had to actually include four lines from the poem within your poem and build your other lines around them. It would be a complex task. I wish you success with your entry. It's a great stand-alone piece.

This poem, Wild Horses Roam, combines this piece from the Paterson poem and adds some color to localize and epitomize the iconic scene of the talented rider and horse whisperer.

I don't know why your poem loaded as prose either. Beautifully written nonetheless. Your poetry talent shines here. Love The Man from Snowy River theme.
Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest,
Sally :))

I don't understand what the contest creator had in mind when he created the format for this poem. Your poem is about a horse, but the other "Famous Poet's" poem is about the "man from Snowy River." I'm having trouble connecting the two. It's probably my bad. Good luck, though, with the contest.

The concept of this form of poetry is interesting. I would have preffered to see the two poems more indissociable, but I am well aware that would be a difficult task. I liked your 'unpredictable' rhyming scheme. It seemed to match a shying horse somehow. Kate xx

You did a great job with your contest entry, Magic Dragon.
Your rhymes worked well, the storyline flowed smoothly
with great imagery. I could see this as I read.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan
