Yes, I agree. Voting is a right but also a duty in a democracy. And you used your right. You never told us if your nominee won but it's irrelevant to the story. Good luck. Ulla:)))

Your description of the routine task of casting one's vote emphasises the good fortune we have in being part of a democracy and able to elect our representatives rather than have the foisted upon us. It is a precious right and one not to be taken lightly.

Excellent! I believe everyone should be voting. It is a privilege that many people have not had the opportunity to do. I hate it when those that have strong opinion and like to express themselves verbally shrug away the opportunity to made a difference.
