I really enjoyed reading this story. It made me realize that even in tragedy there is good. The accident some how changed people's lives beyond the two people involved. It was truly inspirational and so much was said in just 200 hundred words. Much success to you!

Wow! What an inspirational story with a positive twist. I enjoyed
reading it. The progression of time and reflection of the past was
interwoven well. I like the two stories taking place at the same time.

Would a person being married for thirty-five years be an ancient geezer? Is it "he couldn't care less" or "he could care less". Could he flip the cover or turn the cover?
All in all, a great read.

As another entry in the contest, I protest. This is great. The emotion and feeling that you get when you read the note and then learn her story hits the heart of the reader. I reread it just to feel it again. Amazing what can lead to a change in life.

You piqued my curiosity from the first sentence, then slowly, methodically, laid out a treasure map for me to following with your flowing style of writing. This felt more like a slow, fascinating unveiling than the usual wham-bam style of flash fiction. So, by the time I arrived at the last word, I felt emotionally spent, rather than assaulted. Absolutely FANTASTIC job!! Wowie zowie! This has "winner winner chicken dinner" written ALLLLL over it! Good luck to you!
