This is lovely. It flows smoothly and paints a beautiful picture of Vermont. I love that area of the country during fall, and you have some great lines here:

Up mountain side, the reign beholds
The essence of this summer gone by

This is lovely. It's such a homely poem in a way, I greatly enjoy the cosy comfortable imagery that you conjure up. The warm end of autumn is one of the best things. Good luck in the competition!
