This was a beautiful entry for the Children's Rhyming Poem writing prompt contest. The rhyme doesn't seem forced. I'll have to read it to my grandson.
The picture of the presentation are a delight.

This was a beautiful entry for the Children's Rhyming Poem writing prompt contest. The rhyme doesn't seem forced. I'll have to read it to my grandson.
The picture of the presentation are a delight.

This is a beautiful kids' poem with also a feel-good message. It checks off a lot of boxes for writing for kids. The rhyme scheme is on point. The font is large and colorful on a bright background. The cartoon photo of the kid and elderly woman is perfect. I wish I had read it before I voted. Well I can at least tell you; you are getting one of my last two 6's. Lastly, you are in the lead, and deserves it.

This is a sweet poem. I think children would like you to read it again and again to them. Maybe they would make up a song to sing like Sara did to sing to someone who is lonesome.

There is more truth to this little story than you may think. How many "grumpy" old men and women are their out there whose world could be changed with just one sweet song from an innocent child.
Very sweet thought and a good story for children.

The rhyming was so sing-song and sweet (you know, just like Sara!), the story was FANTASTIC, and even the picture you found was perfect. (But the written part is exceptional on its own. The picture is just a wonderful bonus.)
I'm bookcasing this; it's too special not to have on hand any time I want to read something that lifts my spirits.

Sometimes an elderly person acts as if they are not interested in doing things. However, most of them are hiding behind a broken heart. And sometimes they build walls. They feel that if they do not get attached, they will not get hurt again. Thank you for sharing.

Aww...this is so sweet! I love how you made it that she is crabby because she is lonely. That makes so much since. This will teach kids to show kindness to those who need it most.
