This is great, Yvonne.
You're always so creative. I love the concept you've used for this poem: you've managed to turn something that happens every day and that we tend to forget into a lovely story with a touch of humour.
Lovely colours and rhyme as usual.

Beautifully done. I like the repeating line "two total strangers sharing sky. I'd never thought about that, but the sun never seeing the milky way. You did an excellent job with the rhyme. I like the imagery of them sharing their reign. judi

The author's words are interesting, fun to read, thought provoking, descriptive and creative. I pondered on the meaning of this poem and as I continued to read I finally understood it! The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is awesome and goes well with the theme and words.

Yvonne,
This is an imaginative personification of the sun and moon in the empat empat poem. You did well. You chose appropriate artwork for your words.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

This is an interesting poem. I love poems about the moon and the sun. It's interesting to think of how they don't see each other despite being the lights of our world. It's interesting that the only time they do "meet" each other it causes an eclipse, a state of darkness. Could be an interesting metaphor for people.

I can always count on you to meet this challenge in a way that will inspire the rest of us to give it a try! I love the imagery of two strangers in the sky meeting by chance and never really getting to know each other. Much like society these days. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Hello damommy, Yvonne, I love this poem. It is full of vivid imagery, and your message is clear. There is so much in your poem that I, too, have thought and pondered about. Before my muse went MIA, I use to write about the sun and moon and how they just admire each other, but will never kiss. This is what your poem made me reflect upon.
I especially liked:
Sun never sees the Milky Way,
Moon winks as he goes passing by.
(The above make me sigh a heartfelt sigh--nice imagery)
Also - nice repeating line:
two total strangers sharing sky,
(Y, I'm hearing Frank Sinatra singing, "Strangers in the Night.")
Well chosen photo. A pleasure to read. This poem made me smile.
Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

Ah, it's a riddle and a poem! At first, I wondered if it were two birds but then it became clear that it was the sun and moon! Loved it!
Is this Empat Empat the same as a quatern poem? I didn't know what the difference would be.

Thanks, Helen. I think it's more like a cascade with rhyme, but it could be a sort of quatern. My tired old mind can't decide. 8-)

We can sometimes share a moment with a stranger and never see them again but in that moment we have connected when we view a scene together, a memorable moment in time here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
