Oooh! Good one! I can absolutely picture it! It is good enough to be enjoyable on its own, but I want to add that I also like the picture you chose to accompany it. Nice work!

Thank you so much. The photo is my ginger boy sleeping on a weath destined for the front door.

My cat likes overtaking unusual places, too. Part of their charm, I guess. A seven-year-old piano student of mine said, "Our cat is the boss of all our furniture."

In so few words you have created a picture of two different color cats playing in autumn leaves. It is a lovely short Haiku.... (too bad the illustration isn't more playful to match the spirit of the poem.)

Thank you. My ginger boy was tuckered out and decided to nap on a wreath meant for the front door instead of posing. Glad you liked it.

You have shared my vision! Thank you for reading.

Aww, I love the piccy and the senryu has an ingenious double image. I have two halloweens and one falling leaves myself, and I bet they'd love to be so characterised.

I bet you are right. Thanks for reading.

You make it easy to imagine those cats skittering among the leaves. I can see them scaring the daylights out of the little trick or treaters, and then going home to curl up and sleep.

This is a lovely fall poem, or is it a cat poem? Both, I guess. I liked it a lot, because I am very fond of fur babies. And... I like falling leaves too. Your words create a definite mood that feels like autumn. MM

All animals go crazy when we let fireworks off; they are frightened by the noise and smell of cordite. It has been banned here. Your Senryu tells the story in three little lines. Thanks for sharing. K xx

Yes, fireworks are not friends to animals.
Than you for reading.

Nancy,
Nice early Halloween themed poem you penned. Your orange background is a good connect with ginger and falling leaves. 'Black cat' imagery reinforces Halloween theme.
Mark
P.S. IMHO ... your initial capital letters in your first and third line are unnecessary. Consider raising your font size to improve your presentation value to other FS reviewers. I typically use 22-point text in a bold format

Thank you for you comments. I have just learned how to increase the font size, so I can use that in future. I am glad you liked it.

Skittering cats is using a word that describes a cats' action most of the time. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine poem about one of our favorite little fury friends.

I agree--skittering is definitely a cat word. Thank you for your kind words.

You used a few words or syllables to describe Halloween using cat images. I can see them in action, scurrying around in the dark night. This could be a Haiku Club entry for last week. I entered two.
It's to write a scary senryu for this week's assignment.
