Guess I was wrong. I don't know who these guys are or what the gnomes stole, but it's not what they were after. But I'll bet Roz and company will soon have help from some grateful gnomes.

Great job with the clashing of words and swords here. I guess Lindon is more cowardly than I expected from an elf. And Elljay is much braver although I don't know why he took exception to the assumption of being good with a sling. Some stereotyping isn't offensive. He's a cute character.

Thank you :-). Indeed, but some people are always ready to take offence :-). Lindon's an odd chap, isn't he? I think he's very selective about what (or who) he'll take a risk for.

Chest nuts!!!! Lol, Lol, that had me choking over my G&T! You are a fabulous writer, I love this. The imagery in some of your scenes are so vile, they are hilarious, how the heck does that work? So now we are having a dance with swords, love it! On to the next one. :)) Sandra x

You're the second reviewer who's loved the chest nuts line - as I said to the other, that was a last minute addition after I split this long chapter into 9 and 10, and wanted the titles to have more context. I should do more last minute additions :-)
Also, now I want a G&T!

The battle continues. I am now curious what the gnomes stole from them and where they hid it. I am wondering if it's not the jewels our friends were wanting to take from the Bass brothers. I enjoy reading.

Although this should be a scene taken seriously, it's quite comical, Mike. Lol There's lots of action, and surprises. You've left us wondering how Roslyn will get her way out of this, but we know she will. Love it!

Thank you so much :-). These two chapters were one very long one that I decided to split for length reasons. Thankfully, that moment in the combat felt like a good place to pause!

This is another great chapter but I am getting a bit confused as in who is telling the story. I liked the battle scenes as they are full of action. Thank you for sharing and have a great weekend.

Thank you :-). It's always Rozlyn telling the main story, but I do try to give the others spots in the Previously On section so we get to hear from them occasionally.

Probably the part that I liked best was about Lindon's Short Sword + 1. Even though he didn't seem to know what the +1 part was, he was proud to have it. It is interesting to see what is and is not valued in this fantasy piece.

Thank you :-). That's a little easter egg for those who used to play Dungeons and Dragons where items could be '+1' (or 2, if I remember right - it was a long time ago!) which always amused me. Of course, it allowed me a little nod to Spinal Tap too, and their amplifier that goes up to 11.
