Excellent entry for the Short and Colorful prompt contest. I love the little frog...so cute.

Good poem color form, connection between lines, presentation, and imagery. It flows well with descriptive words that paint a clear mental picture.

Good luck in the contest.

Lucky frog. Maybe a princess will kiss him, and all of his dreams will come true. Sounds like a great beginning to a children's story book.

Great job

A frog is just as entitled as any creature to think of himself as a king with a crown on its head, you made me smile here and this is a fantastical and magical story., much enjoyed, you entertained me, love Dolly x

Vivid, lively, and fun to read because of the intriguing surprise he experiences upon seeing his reflection! What a cute idea, and, if I take it further, a nice allegory, as well: do we realize how we actually appear? Does it change because of our having ventured forth from our natural environment?

Since poetry is supposed to give us pause and make us think, you have obviously done a very fine job here!! Good luck in the contest!!

Nice response to the writing prompt about color. I loved the speculation in the last three lines: A smile came upon his face,
this little frog leapt for joy,
a promise, a dream, a wish, maybe!

Good job.

This is so cute, and I know many children will love it as us adults. I like the colors. They are so alive. And it would be interesting to know how the frog would feel to see itself reflection from looking at the water. Thank you for posting, it brought a warm smile to my face.
