A very good description of either a cat or a dog. Your verse fits all the pets I have ever had and especially my current cat. Which is the ultimate winner? I don't think we will ever know.

How old are you? I know more likely an adult but with this composition I feel as if I am reading something a third-grade student would write, and it's cute, and well formed. Very astute of you for a possible winning piece.

I'm old enough to know better, but still to young to care. I wrote it as I think an animal would sound like...childlike. Thanks for reading my poem. :)

Although I'm a cat lover, I found this poem well structured. Very funny, good rhyme. Really portraits the differences of the species. I love the intro to every stanza that starts with"cat speaks," and "dog speaks". Really creative.

This dog and cat have got a lot to say for themselves! The dog is quite wrong when he says that cats never play... maybe he plays too rough and they don't play with him, but my cat is a bundle of playtime energy.
Your well constructed poem is humorous and entertaining and shows great observation of animal behaviour.

This was a great poem. I could imagine they would say what has been written in your story. Cats are cleaner than dogs. My granddaughter has a cat and dog who loves each other. It is amazing to see them together. Thank you for sharing. The picture is cute.
