This poem, A Duck Critiques a Platypus, begins a bit harshly with comparisons on the negative aspects. Before it's over though, the P-pus gets his props.

Being different does attract negativity, but the platypus can hold its own.

Dear Mystery Writer,

What a great, fun pair of animals to see together. That platypus is a really, totally, over the top crazy kind of animal, for sure.

My grandgirls and I were just looking them over recently as an adoption option. But then both girls chose plain, simple foxes. Haha

Thanks and good luck!

Thanks for reviewing. How interesting that you had the chance to adopt a platypus - was that through a zoo or conservation initiative?

It's through the World Wildlife Federation. Pretty awesome!

    That is highly commendable.

Oh yes, the platypus is extremely private, and rarely ever seen, in fact I've only ever seen them in Australian wildlife farms, or on TV documentary, and I live in their native country, beautifully written in three sestets and one quatrain, and couplet rhyming, well done, blessings Roy

I held one in my hands when I lived in Tasmania in 2010. I found it when I was kayaking on a lake in the central highlands - only problem was that it was dead... such a shame, but it gave me the chance to see it really close and examine what a strange combination it was.

That was a shame, but well done
