I got chills from this one. It's a violent and tortuous death for Jesus. He KNEW He was coming back to life. He knew God had His back. It was worth it all to Jesus, to save us. That's what ran through my head, still does when I think of how easy we have it. We rarely, barely suffer. Great job on this song that proclaims that you can't kill the Savior, Son of God. He will not stay dead!

I got chills from this one. It's a violent and tortuous death for Jesus. He KNEW He was coming back to life. He knew God had His back. It was worth it all to Jesus, to save us. That's what ran through my head, still does when I think of how easy we have it. We rarely, barely suffer. Great job on this song that proclaims that you can't kill the Savior, Son of God. He will not stay dead!

This song certainly scolds those who stood by as Christ suffered and died. Vivid imagery of his treatment in the streets and later on the cross. I'd love to hear the music you wrote to accompany this. Rod

It's very vivid, and to the point. I don't know whether someone writing earlier in their life to now would see where the changes were. I find this hard work, but this is not the type of poetry I like. Having said that everything has its place. Well done and good luck.

Before I read more than the first two verses, I suspected this was a song. I could hear the rhythm in it. You were a very good writer some twenty years ago. If you do try to make it music again, be sure to change the "seens" into "saws".

Lol. Yes, I know the seens are incorrect now. It took me a little bit of figuring but this was actually more like 35 years rather than 20 some.
Time seems to catching up on me too quickly. Haha. Thank you for the great review and generous stars, Carol.
