Is that true? OMG, what a family! It's worse than mine. I haven't seen my sister in 8 years, or one of my brothers. I have one more brother, the baby, we are fine. He looks to me as a mother after ours died. He's disabled. Unlike you, I'm the eldest. Why are families so strange? I think you should live to be a lot older, you have that sense of fun that doesn't allow for morbid things like death to run away with your life. I enjoyed reading this. :)) Sandra xx

As I read this, it reminded me of my cousins who were a family of nine kids, all went their separate ways, and now only three remain most never reached 50.
For your own family, it is sad but I also think as the youngest your odds were at least pretty good with some luck and not aggravating your wife.
Best wishes,
mary

No, you're the happy one with the happy family so I'm sure you'll outlive your oldest sister. Now if your siblings' families are not keeping in touch with y'all, who are the handsome nephews who pose as Ned and Pons?

Wow, your siblings all died from something different. Malnutrition and gangrene, as horrible and preventable as those things sound, would still fall under the category of natural causes, wouldn't they? I assume your wife is promising not to kill you, at least in an obvious way.

This is the good thing about being the youngest as you are the last to go! But seriously I am so sorry that your family are slowly dying or moving away, often when the parents die the family fragments, this is what has happened with my siblings, a poignant write Bill, love Dolly x

I'm sorry about the losses of your siblings. But glad you and your sister are still kicking. We never know what life has to offer, is it luck, lack thereof, or fate. Who knows. Dying isn't the worst thing we ever have to do, it's what we might have to go through to get there. Long live Bill! Thanks for sharing.

I'm no genius or rocket scientist, but I interpret death by natural causes and or accident as death by wife's hand after husband pissed her off one time too many. It is your choice. Either way, she will no doubt be the conductor who punches your ticket to eternity.

Very interesting. Like the branches of a tree, you all separated and went your own way. As the youngest, you got to see your older siblings develop, and that is a good apart, but also as the youngest, it means being left alone to tell their tale.

I tried telling their stories once, but it wasn't that flattering. I will leave it to someone else.

This was entertainingly written in your trademark engaging style. Although it's obviously quite serious in places, it's matter-of-fact rather than trying to be excessively emotional. I love that you end with some gentle humour - sound much like something my own wife might say!

This was a lot of sad information, but believable to those of us with large families and a host of siblings.

Only two of my siblings remain out of the seven; 5 boys, then there's Suzy and me. Suzy is still living, and my closest biological brother, Robbie, is 76. A wide array in the bouquet of life.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal :))

Tank you, Sally. Better to mourn than be mourned I guess.
