    I am over 70, and I forget things, but I cannot remember having my work and the word "brilliantly" ever used in the same sentence. Thank you! So glad you took the time to read it and write. Aging is not for the weak and one must keep their sense of humor - I remember that they are not alone! Have a Happy 4th!

This piece is well-paced. The language is friendly and even slightly amusing. The images are clear. The progression is good. The end is expected, but stated well.

    I assume that you are a writer and so I ask, have you experienced having the story kind of take over and write itself? That was my experience this morning. Quite fun and yes, I do try to spice my thoughts with some humor, at least laughing at myself. Thanks for noticing. It is not often that I touch religion - not qualified - but, as I said, this one wrote itself... May your 4th be fun!

    Yes I write, mostly poetry. And I love tongue-in-cheek. Tend to find it out where ever. You are welcome. Poems do sometimes almost write themselves.

    You don't need a pen pal, but I must mention that 90% of my writings are poetry. Mostly reflecting this Boomer's reaction to real life, marriage, travel and sales and includes some humor spice. Real life, news and taxes include all the serious dialogue I need! Thanks again.
