Hi Brett, this makes you wonder, doesn't it? I think there was not much love left for his father. But as you say, monsters have to feed, and why not feed on a spirit kindred. I loved it. Ulla:)))

Just something a little different. Appreciate the review.

The childhood scene of sprinkling floating shrimp flakes in an aquarium, replayed on Lake Eustis, a dusted human feast tempting the beast to come out and eat. Thanks for sharing.

I like the art work. It is beautiful. Although the story is short, it gives the reader a mystery to figure out. To me, Snider and Sean are buddies. Their close relationship is seen by Sean throwing the ashes into the lake.
Thanks for sharing g such a story.

Haha, what a funny one. Just after we finished watching "To Kill A Mocking Bird." Still trying to catch up on my writing in here. A lot of stress and stuff has gone on. No spags.

Well that is one way of disposing of a loved one no muss no fuss no blood and no huts since the man had all ready been cremated. We can
Say good by and Sean can go on with his life.

True. Monsters have to eat, but they don't have to eat your father. Sean cared more about dinner being served to the monster, than he cared about the memory of his father. This story is haunting, and leaves you with an uneasy feeling. It's creative, though.

Your flash fiction created a lot of questions for me. You did a great job with the story and I didn't see any errors.
Is this for a contest? If so, good luck. Have a great evening. Shirley

That last comment leaves readers wondering about the
relationship between father/son. You did a good job, Brett,
with your contest entry. You told a great little story in a few words.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

That cold. No ceremony to commemorate his passing. No thank you for remembering me in your will. Just let the monster feast. I think cold is good word to describe it, especially while looking at the picture you chose.
