I rather thought Pat would be the one to attack her. Luke has an even more volatile temper, so he makes sense as the attacker, but I'm sure Pat will still have to do something to get even. So sorry to hear about your son's ill health. He will be in my prayers.

A very well written chapter, you left us in suspense last time, so it was good to see that Ali was rescued before anything more serious happened. Sorry you missed out on your vacation and I hope your son Steven is OK. I had gallstones years ago, which caused Pancreatitis, and I had emergency surgery. I pray the surgery goes well.

If there were errors, Barbara, let's just say its tempo drove me past them. Your writing today was like watching it unfold in the movies, and when "the end" shows, you weren't even aware of having polished off a tub of popcorn. Keep it up, Barbara! My prayers are with your's for your Steven.

Luke backed (away) from Alexandra.

The dialogue is really interesting.
This is another great chapter and I loved reading it very much. Thank you for sharing and have a great week.

A great chapter and as I had hoped someone was there to stop Luke doing as he intended. Good reading as usual. Glad you fitted us in amongst your doing. I am sorry, I have to say it you Americans eat far too much fried chicken and I surmise that is a contributor to your son's gall stones. I was gonna have the gall bladder removed but for various reasons I just had to behave and was diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic which stopped the gall stones worsening so they are still there but not a problem for many years. Sorry for the big rave. I probably wrote about this in "Little Dog"...my autobiography.

Glad to hear that how come he needs the Gall Bladder out, then? Since I have been Diabetic and Coeliac I do all baked chips and baked Crumbed Chicken and fish.

How wonderful for Ali that Rico happened along, things can get out of hand, and it's very fortunate if someone comes along like that. It could have been a whole lot worse. There are many violent people around, but I think kidnapping can be a terrible offence, beautifully written dear Barbara, blessings Roy

I didn't see any errors, so I think your normal writing skills prevented any slip ups.

The story is well paced and Luke's capture made perfect sense considering where and when his crime took place. His reasons though???

The reactions from Cord and company also were well handled.

This was such an easy read, although much longer than a typical poem. The characters seemed well-developed and believable. It is nice to see quality writing.
Best wishes.

I pray that your son emerges from this medical problem 100% healthy and able to continue with his life unabated. This character Luke must either be totally stupid or have a death wish. He must have an inkling of what Cord would and probably still will do to him once he gets his hands on him. What an idiot, he has made one bad decision after another. Sadly, there are lots of people like him in the world.

This is a great chapter, Barbra. I'm happy Rico was there for her. I'm sorry to hear about your grandson. I'm hoping all will go well with the surgery. It's a simple one, but still surgery and still a scary prosect for a young person. Good wishes! Best, JohnC

Thank you for this kind review. Yes, it is a simple surgery. I've had it myself. MY worry is Steven's size. He's very large.

It's easy to say don't worry, but I know it won't help! Best wishes for you all, Barbra.
