The misuse of religion to exploit the weak and powerless is ever present while ever there is church and religion. Under the guise of love, forgiveness and saving grace, the church gets away with heinous crimes, especially against the young and innocent. The church, with its fake religion, is a demon too dark to believe and most are unaware.

Excellent use of words that is relevant to today's world and throughout the ages. So much harm has been done in the name of religion and the innocent suffer. You have a smooth poetic flow of lines and words that adds to the strength of your theme.

Anyway, you are correct, Government, religion, politics... all become corrupt. Why? Because, with more people, and popularity comes more power. And we all know, Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The sin or corruption is within the human soul. As long as it involved humans, there is no way around it.

I, only speak about Christianity because, it is the one faith I identify with as I am an avowed Christian. I care about Christianity and want it cleaned up. I do not care about other religions.

Last week my husband shared with me an article he read about the downfall of Christianity in our society. It was frightening. I can't remember the figures but basically the majority of people in the US do not identify as Christians. No wonder we're in a horrible mess. Thank you for sharing.

The worse part of that is that many who identify as Christian do not act or think like Christians, the just wear the title, they do not live the life.

A very powerful and well-stated poem. There are those who call themselves Christian but who really worship power and money. There are those who call themselves Christian but often overlook the needs of the poor or who are so rigid in their beliefs they overlook the need for human understanding, compassion, and compromise.

Don't worry about being unable to find a solution. That is for others to do. It is not the work of artists like ourselves. But those whose job it is to find solutions could not even begin to think about he nature of their problems were they not point pointed out by the artists and poets in the first place.
