Fishing for Thought
morning ritual for writers8 total reviews

You certainly had me with the picture alone! Followed by just the right words makes for a delightful early morning read. I usually take a few minutes to sit on my back patio before 'taking on the day'. Good luck in the contest. ann

Your short poem is symbolic and thought provoking.
The graphics and brevity of your poem is its strength and charm.
The number of thoughts we can have is infinite.
Good luck,Elaine.
Excellent work.
Blessings,
Cindy

A few words to inspire us to let our imagination run free and let the words flow Elaine, but you said it all in just six words, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

Thanks for your words and encouragement.

I like your poem. It has a catchy title that is clearly explained in the text. The visual is also great. However, the text is a bit lost over in the corner. I would center it on the large visual and make the text larger. These two changes would make your text more prominent.

I do appreciate your response. And I agree completely with your suggestions. I just can't figure out how to edit it. I need to experiment. Thanks.

Very nice. You've caught the essence of this morning ritual with six words, and also presented it quite soothingly with your picture and color selection.
Well done.

Thanks for sharing this six-word poem for the contest. Fishing is the perfect metaphor-casting a net for fresh thoughts. I also like the accompanying picture. Good job.

Love this poem :"
cast
your net
catch fresh thoughts", and there is a deeper meaning to your innocent lines:) sometimes water makes sprung out fresh ideas and angles. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest and with your writings.

Excellent very little poem. You don't even need a fishing pole or net to catch thoughts. And a lake is very inspiring. I'm fortunate enough to be looking out at one as my husband takes the great grandkids out for a swim. Very well-chosen picture and lovely poem.
