Nicely written.
a step further? maybe a baby step. lol
Of course, he had guns. - 'has' guns would make more sense
He's gonna get a job so far away as to have to spend the week away? How would they date?
Best wishes.

Thank you Wayne, I do appreciate the review and comments. This is based closely on my own relationship, and in truth he did take a job sixty miles away. He came back to his parents home on weekends only twenty miles away. You are right "has" works better.

Hooray! I'm glad you decided to keep up with the scripts, Beth! And I think you could do some of your stories in scripts as you do the dialogues so well. You really showed us your personalities in the dialogue!

I still need one more to be recognized as a script writer. I'm glad you think I'm doing all right with the dialogue.

This is capturing my interest. I like your touches of humor. The father seems to be the obstacle here to any prolonged relationship. You might explore that. He has a temper and could be dangerous.

Thank you for the review. I'm glad you are seeing the traces of humor. People seem to think I do okay with dialogue. I don't put a lot into other things I post. Scripts are sort of a pain. Maybe I'm just not used to them.

I have teased my sons about being this protective of their daughters. Only one is of dating age, so far. LOL Thank you for sharing scene two with us and I can't wait for scene three.

Thank you for the review. I didn't start out planning on this continuing but maybe I need to write a little more.

Those time could be a discouragement for a young man. I was very apprehensive when my girls were young, but I needn't have been, they were level headed, but my experiences as a young man, taught me how untrustworthy young men could be. Beautifully written Script Beth, blessings Roy
Typo : Hopefully he('I'll) be appeased.

That is probably the reason most dads worry. They remember their own not so pure thoughts when they were young. They also remember that the girl is sometime too naïve to know how to handle these guys and they assume their daughter is naïve and innocent and it their job to protect them.

No, girls are surprisingly good at handling themselves, but there?s always that really bad guy lurking?

You have pushed the plot forward in this scene. I would have liked to hear the dialogue in the cafe to help me delve into Matt and Betsy's characters. A fly on the wall, in a way. I hope you develop the dialogue between them on the next date! Well done.

Thanks Ted, I might take it forward. I didn't want to make this one too long. I appreciate the review.
