Evi, thank you for the six stars for my story about my father!!! Terry.

Terry, this is a marvelous account of your dad. How very blessed you are to have had such a stellar individual for your own! I did not know my dad very well and was forced from his influence as a child. My mother put us in the car and we left the state of Georgia forever. I have my Heavenly Father now, and He is perfectly wonderful.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal :))

Such a cute declaration:"
On his fortieth birthday, my mother made him a cake and decorated it with, "Life begins at 40!" He announced to our little family, "Life does begin at forty, and I am going to do a couple of new things. First, I am opening the Broxson and Bartley Insurance Agency. Jerry Bartley is my best friend and new partner.
' Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thank you sharing your dad's life story. You were truly blessed to have such a man for a father. I don't say that lightly. I grew up without a father so I'm a bit envious of you.
I enjoyed his poem as well and agree with the last line. These "golden years" are definitely not what there cracked up to be.
Wish I had a six left.
Blessings

Janet, you wished you had a six, but gave it a four, what do I need to improve? Terry

So sorry Terry. I was using my phone this evening to do reviews and my fingers get crossed. I changed the 4 to a 5. Mia culpa.

LOL, Thank you, I have done the something, Terry>

-Thanks for sharing the photo, story, and poem, Terry.
-I enjoyed reading it, and learning about you father.
-I guess he is what you would call a Renaissance Man.
-It sounds like he moved with the times, and was often ahead of them.
-The part about using the ham radio to help folks in the flood was amazing, and opened a private insurance co. that did well at the same time.
-It also sounds like he loved poetry, and I appreciate you sharing a little bit of it when you write about him. I liked the last line of his poem, too.
-Well done.

I have to agree with the last line of your father's wonderful poem, 'It ain't what it's cracked up to be!' He was an incredible man, Terry, and I can quite understand your pride in him. It's awful to know we won't see our dads again in this life, but what fabulous memories you have, as have I. Well done, I enjoyed reading about your father. :)) Sandra xx

The poem made me grin as, as my son would say, the wrong end of fifty lol. I enjoyed learning about your dad and how proud you were of him. Thank you for sharing and have a nice week.

This is a wonderful tribute to your father. Without ever knowing him, I feel that he was the kind of guy who would help anyone, whether it be helping a neighbor lift something heavy to helping a community in a flood. I can tell that you have great respect and admiration for your father. The love for him shows through your words.
