Thank you so much for your sweet review. I finally found out with my new Mac how to size pictures to add. This one is Dad with me-years ago, but not when I was a little girl because we have very few pictures of that day! There were four of us siblings, five years between each of us, and all my birth family is gone except for me now. My big brother said we didn't know we were poor because there was so much love in our home-and indeed, it wasn't perfect-but blessed.

This is a great poem dedicated to your father. I especially love these two items: "To laugh at her silly jokes" and "To forgive her when she makes mistakes." I enjoyed the list and feel your love for your dad flowing through your choice of things to list.

I enjoyed reading this as it CLARIFIES exactly why a father is important to a daughter. I think most of these same reasons would apply to a son as well. I am just wondering if there is some way of rewriting this without ALL the "to's."

It sound like you had a wonderful Dad. The picture shows what seems to be a very loving and caring Dad. Not all men are capable of being everything the daughter need and many time all the teaching is left to the mother. It is great when the day is an active part of their daughters life.
