Your contest entry is in great form, though extremely
poignant, Mystery Author. You wrote of your pain not
knowing your father. I could feel the longing for that
special relationship. I agree. There will come a time
when you and he can build on what could've been.

even though he had left, and you make us
feel the pain of having to pretend that he was
there for your special moments in life.

you talk about living with your grandmother, and how
you came upon information about your father on
your grandmother's death certificate.

This is a very powerful story about separation. It is hard for children to understand how their parent or parents could walk away from them and even later in life refuse contact. Your father may have felt so much guilt that he dared not face you. I know that you are right that you will be reunited and the wounds will be healed. I'm sorry that things fell apart between you and tour sister.

Oh dear you went through a lot. What right did she have to be jealous? She should be a shame of herself. I hope your father is with the Lord. I feel so bad for for you. So many children have to live without their dad. Take care and trust the Lord.
