A beautiful poem, and a great use of S-U in the alphabet. Glad you're able to keep that young love alive. Best wishes in the ABC contest. Blessings. Carol

Yup, I 'am so happy to see some sun on those pretty faces:"
Sometimes I see a look on your face...
Tenderness that sweeps through your
Usually benign features create
Visions of our young love
Lighting up my heart." Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Thank you, Iza! I"m so glad you enjoyed.
Don't give up on love - we were divorced for almost a decade and God interviened. I'm not saying 'get back with your ex' at all. Just keep your heart open. :)
Blessings,
Deb

This is a lovely ABC, poem, Deb about the little reminders as an older couple, we see sometimes as the younger couple when love was fresh and beginning. I love this topic choice, nice one. cheers,

Hi, Valda!
Thank you for such kind words. I can still close my eyes and see the very first time I laid eyes on this man. *sigh* He looked a little different, but so did I. lol
Thanks for reading,
Deb

Your ultra-concise, expressive poem gently celebrates the power of enduring, continuing love, still feeling the thrill of romance. (Did you mean to say "lightsing"?)

I did not! lol. I flip-flopped between 'lights up' and 'lighting up' and I guess I forgot to eliminate the 's'! Thanks for catching that (and how could I miss it!) Also thank you for the beautiful review. I do love our 'old love' and the hints of our younger hearts that it still evokes.
Blessings,
Deb

There's nothing like old love, is there. Especially when it hints at the young love that allowed it to grow and age. Thank you for the kind comments, Roy. I appreciate the time you took to do so.
Blessing,
Deb

Your contest entry read well, Deb.
I enjoyed reading your heartfelt words
of love for your hubby. I like the
selection of letter used to build your
poem. I could visualize you saying
this to him. Did you share it with him?
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

I have not shared it yet. He's not feeling top-notch and spent the morning at the VA. (Gotta love the VA.......) But I will do so when he rouses himself later. :)
Blessings,
Deb

Yes, that "young love" is still alive and well in our hearts even as our faces and bodies grow old. May we always see those "visions of young love." Great choices of challenging starting words. Best wishes in the contest!!
