I don't think this is a haiku. Your syllable counts are wrong. Unless you are doing a modified form or something? I do like the poem, and it brings up a pretty mental image. Best wishes to you.

Yes I think you are correct . However, it seems that this type of poem can take modifications. Will find out. Take care and have a good day.

I hope your mom had better mulberry jam than I did on my one and only attempt. Very sweet poem with a berry that puckers the mouth. Haiku is usually 3 lines with 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables, but I understand there are other forms. Best of luck in the contest.
