I enjoyed this humorous take on junk mail and how you handled it. A clever introduction to draw the reader in. The gall of those brides who send out long overdue wedding invitations to just get presents. Sending coupons is a great idea! Nice use of dialogue as you relate about the hearing test. That gave me a good laugh.

This is a humorous way of looking at all the mail that we receive. I receive mail from local audiologists about hearing tests. I like your paragraph about the wedding and then the baby shower. This is a funny look at how much advertising comes in the mail.

This is the second piece of yours I have been fortunate to get to this week. I must say, you have an easy, droll style and you do yourself a disservice by making the pieces small, compact episodes. I feel that you could expand these vignettes - you write well, you have a good turn of phrase and great timing (a difficult skill to acquire).
I found the six down the back of the couch. This piece alone is not 'outstanding' so I'm cheating here, but I thought to let you have it as maybe it will encourage you, because I sense that 'outstanding' is in there somewhere, if not, it'll look good in your hair for a day or two.
I wish you well with your continued, quality, writing.

Phill, what a great review you have written! Thank you for the Six Stars, I hope to earn them in the future, as I have so little hair left. I think you nailed me because I do a lot of short vignettes. When I write a humorous piece it is more effective for me. At some point these short stories will be in a collection of humor, at least that is the plan.
Tomorrow I will post another short work of humor, but these are real stories with no embellishments. I think they are funny, but I will see how folks respond. Thank you very much! Terry.

Loved it! I chuckled throughout the read so it definitely met the humor requirements. It could potentially allow you to perform as a stand-up comic. While funny, it was filled with truths.
