You can find your muse in so many places, but I believe he finds you. But we all need that spark to get him going, once there, look out. Sometimes I think we try to hard in our search. Along with you, I wish my muse would always be by my side.

This is so good that I couldn't find one tiny little thing that I would change. What a fun read and so entertaining! I wish l had a six star to give you as it would be so deserved! Look behind you. I think your muse is right there because someone or something must have inspired you to write this entertaining little puzzle of a work. It fairly dances right off the page onto my tongue.

This was a very well written poem, with excellent rhyme and metre - and an imaginative story-line as you took us on a trip through the library in search of the missing muse. However, may I declare that your muse is absolutely not missing! He must have been in your pocket all along. Well done A great entry for the contest, and I am sure you will have success.

Those naughty muses do like to play mischief with us - yours probably ran off to play with mine and left you looking for him. Please don't chain him up though - they like to be free spirits.
It'll teach him a lesson that you are perfectly capable of writing a fun poem without his input - I enjoyed this.
I lost the rhythm a bit with this line:
'I browsed amid tomes classical'
