Hey BETHSHELBY! A very nice poem and I am very impressed with not only the imagery but also the information that made your poem that much more special.
And that picture is GORGEOUS! Very nicely illustrates how, as you mentioned, taking a picture of other objects can make the moon seem closer/bigger.
I love that I am learning more than just about writing/poetry!

I love that you followed up your beautifully rhymed poem with a lesson on the super moon. This is unique and appreciated as part of your poem's story, and not just as author's notes.

Here in St. Augustine, FL, the full moon - in conjunction with rain, storm surge, etc. - often plays a part in the flooding of our downtown. It's beautiful and destructive.

Thank you Dolly. I really appreciate the review and comments. If you've ever seen the moon in June, you've seen a strawberry moon. That is just a name. This year the strawberry moon will be a super moon because it will extra big and bright.

I laugh reading this passage: "f you're into Astrology, you might like to know the moon is said to be stationed in Sagittarius and Sagittarians are considered the explorers of the zodiac, so you may get a bad case of wanderlust during the full moon. Mid-June supposedly brings on an array of opportunities, bright ideas, and good fortune The free-spirited fire sign is all about seizing the moment and expanding your mind and heart According to what I've read, the full moon is the ultimate time to manifest your most sophisticated and cosmopolitan dreams. Since I know little about Astrology, make of this what you will.

Thank you for reviewing this. All I know about Astrology is I'm a Virgo and I'm suppose to be extremely organized and nothing could be further from the truth. LOL

Thanks Roy. I pay not attention to Astrology but some find it fun. I hope they don't really believe it. My sign said I was supposed to be extremely organized and nothing could be further from the truth.
