The distance between their homes is certainly a problem, especially as she has her own business and so does he. Long distance romances aren't usually all that successful. I'm interested in how you are going to solve this problem. One little problem--"I don't(.)"

I totally agree, when it is right, there are signals to indicate this is the right one. When I was younger, I was involved with so many women that my signals often confused sexual attraction with real desire for a committed relationship. In retrospect, I realize now that the relationship I have with my wife would has lasted far longer than would have been the case with any of the other women I dated in the past.

This work has reached the exceptional level

"If our relationship continues to grow, we'll have to work out a compromise like we did with the pizza." Cordero motioned for Rico to bring the pizza. [This is a good analogy. Now I understand why you took extra time over their pizza choices.]

Spanish accents have been removed so I don't get weird characters in my posts. [Except for the tilde over the n in jalapeƱos.]

I like your slow development of their relationship, especially Cord's insistence that everything gets expressed. (I wish my wife and I had that understanding.)

This was a lovely chapter. I like all the dialogue between Ali and Cord. Lovely meeting more of his friends, too. Be good to see where this is going and especially how they sort out their locations. No spags.

I like this chapter very much. You had a great idea using the illustration about compromising on the Pizza as an example how couples can learn to handle any decisions in their relationship. Seems like these two are beginning to understand each other better.

Nice development. Good writing.
I'm only surprised she didn't want tomatoes - on a pizza that famous for tomato sauce! I also thought she'd try to get used to jalapenos with just a couple on it.
Well done. Best wishes.

She wants the tomato sauce, just not tomatoes. I happen to love tomatoes and usually eat veggie pizza, but don't like the baked tomatoes on it. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

I guess the main problem for this couple is that if the relationship leads to marriage one of the will have to compromise. It seems Ali is happy where is is but I'm clients for a high class lawyer would be in New York. I'm sure your work it out for them . I'm enjoying the story and I hope you enjoy the vacation.

Thank you for the kind review. Yes, Ali is a New Yorker and Cord is a rancher. Hmmmm

I like the fact that Alexandra and Cordeo admitted not feeling sizzles for their ex. And the romance seems to be developing nicely. Just a couple of things below:

"As they walked.... Which [is] the real Ali?"

One words [storefront, medium-thin, hand-tossed, ever-renewing]

I'm glad that Cord and Ali have finally opened up to each other, and now have a better understanding of their possibilities. I look forward to seeing where this relationship goes too. Well done.

This one sentence gave me some grief. I've made a couple of suggestions: "It seems there are(is) (the) professional(,) confident Alexandra(,) and then a(the) girl-next-door Ali. Which in(is) the real Ali?"

I initially had there is personal, but because there are two Ali's I have decided 'are' is correct. I will wait and see what other reviewers say about it. I did correct the 'is') Thank you for the help. I appreciate it.

You're most welcome, Barbara. I contemplated it too and saw why you wanted to use the plural, but it just felt a little awkward. I included "the" in each one in my suggestion to make them singular. But it is entirely up to you, of course. Well done.

Two well developed characters having a feel your way conversation. The flow is good. The dialogue is believable. The images are clear. The scene stays on point. It ends with an unresolved question which is good.

Thanks for a good read.
