I do wonder sometimes, about our perceptions. When studying, I read a translation of an ancient text from thousands of years ago, in which a philosopher bemoaned the actions of 'the youth of today' and believed their attitude would be the end of civilisation. The older I get, the worse the world looks to me. That said, I can't help but agree that we seem to be losing our way as western societies!

Hello Mike,
Thanks for the fine review and comments. My dad once made the same comment that you brought up about an ancient article. I can excuse a certain amount of youthful inexperience or rebellion, knowing that they usually grow up out of it. However, I believe that America has made a conscious decision, starting sixty or more years ago to place God on the back burner. It didn't happen all at once, or it never would have been accepted, but like the proverbial frog in the pot being boiled to death, the changes have been incremental. Our children have been the pawns in this evil scheme and by the time they are adults they've been led to believe all manner of lies which become acceptable. If we don't act soon, we may not be allowed to act at all. I appreciate your comments.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review and comments. You're right, there is not distinction when it comes to sin in God's eyes. What I've come to understand about Sodom and Gomorrah, is that they had become so depraved in their actions, that everything they did was evil. They took delight in doing the wrong thing, so that there wasn't even any room for God in their thoughts. When a people become that depraved, there is nothing left for God to do but bring His righteous wrath against them, lest their ideas spread to others.
