ROFL! Yes, sir, don't they always try to turn something simple into quantum disaster that no one can understand. Glad to see your post pop up, now I'd just like to see more of them. I'm the one who usually doesn't post, and I think I've posted three, counting today's, since I've read anything from you. Hope all is well! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ric. A fifty-word story is a tough nut to crack in just a few short hours. I could only do it tongue in cheek with a little bit of sardonicism for those of us who see the universe as beauty from the Divine without considering the complexity of matter? not that it matters. (;-)

I've been posting more lately, and you've been posting less. Get busy, I miss the reads and your reviews. Hope all is well in your world! Stay healthy and happy, have one for me, and I'll have three for you. LOL.

LOL I agree Einstein had it easy. LOL Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. It was fun to read. Now, listen, I have my new tea glass, and even got some decaffeinated tea. I was afraid I'd drink to much while reading your posts. I'm ready. LOL Good luck with the contest.

(;-) Thanks again for the encouragement. You might not need the caffeine, but I sure do. Too many sticks in the fire now but I will let you know first before I post Concertina's epilogue.

Hahaha! Clever, Yardier! It is intelligent, bordering, we think, on the outer bounds of science, and just about the time the alert reader is wondering how you are going to twist this into a story ... your story takes a twist and we find the genius has to accept the fact that he's inventing a piece of flash fiction, not expanding the universe of physics. Very good!

Haha, and it isn't rocket science either, right?
I enjoyed your fun contest entry, Yardier. You
set up the ending well with your well-thought
out words.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

I believe that's how God solved the "problem" of endlessness, it makes sense when one considers that God has no beginning and no end, the Alpha and Omega, it drove me batty when I was young, "what's on the other side of the wall?" Beautifully written, blessings Roy

An interesting exchange.

What was the unusual task?
There are a good many extra spaces in this piece that need to be removed.
A comma is needed in the last sentence.

Good effort. Best wishes.

The unusual task was writing a Fan Story fifty word dribble flash fiction due in three hours.
The extra spaces are there by Fanstory editing.
Comma? Hmm. Do tell where specifically.
    Thanks for you feed back.
    All the best, Yard.

I didn't know FanStory put in extra spaces. I don't believe I've noticed that before now--at least not in poetry.

The comma would go after the fourth word (fiction).

    Again, best wishes.

Hello Leather. When posting prose or poetry on FS, one has the option of using the advanced editor software. Doing so opens up many options such as font style, size and color. It also provides the option of aligning text to left margin, center, right margin or justify; (align to left and right). Justify provides for crisp appearing text. I used justify to center my text. However, because words have different lengths the software adjusts the spacing between the words to adjust the text evenly between the margins. Hope this helps. Yard.

It does help. I have not used those features, so this may be a new area to explore. I thank you for the time you took to explain the software situation.
