This was a very sweet piece of dribble flash fiction. I can't imagine going that long without seeing a sibling, but it sounds like they picked up where they left off, so to speak. Thanks for sharing.

I think you have left this a little ambiguous - quite cleverly. Was the brother already dead and the person seeing him as his own death approached? Or was the brother real and he pressed the morphine button sufficiently to manage the pain enough to have a happy reunion with his living brother? Best wishes for your entry.

This is good flash fiction. I assume the brother had died 35 years ago and the narrator dies in the story as he pushes the morphine button. I hope I got that correctly.
