This poem, Tangled Web, has the required words and explains in terms of the retailer, the proper navigation and choice of set up for the success of bug catching in the spider's world. Fun to read.

Bill,
Thank you for taking time to read my poem and for the kind review!

Very well done on this poem, using those words, and explaining the mystery of why the spider does not get caught in its own web. Amazing how our God created each species with what it need to procure food and protect itself.

Anne,
Thank you for the generous review. Apparently not every one enjoyed it as much as you did. It?s not faring very well in the contest. But?as I have learned on this site?that too is a numbers game!

You are welcome. We take a chance on these contests, as it all hinges on who votes for each entry. But it is fun to enter and we learn from each one.

This is a very written poem using the required words for the writing prompt. You used the words in very good descriptive words about the spiders web. I enjoyed reading and reviewing this. Great imagery from the art work you chose. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

How many times when we clean our basement we find a cob web that has been created. I usually vacuum the web or take a sweep of a broom and remove it. I guess we do destroy the work the spider has created but I would not leave it hanging either.

Fantastic. Enlightening. Clear as a cloudless Spring Day. You had a way with words joining inquiries. I often do the same with as simple an idea as a word, dream or daytime reverie that leads to Wiki and finding what is needed to say. Congrats. six stars on the way.

Tom,
Thanks so much for the generous review. Apparently not everyone felt as strongly as you did. It?s not faring well in the contest voting so far. But..those too I have learned are a numbers game! I enjoy the wiki rabbitholes way more than the ribbons!

There is a niche within the compound that befriended each other over time and I feel as you, I think, the vote is skewed with them towards each other. It's not that they are not deserving but they are not superior to many compositions contested against them

This is a very clever development of your poem with information about the ways of the spider and how she does her work so skilfully. Nature is amazing. Well written. Best wishes for your contest.

I think sometimes the voters go for rhyme above free verse in these unspecified ones. I liked yours.
But, you are right too. It can often be a numbers game. Don?t give up though.

'A Tangled Web ' , is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. Good luck with the contest. Please let me know how you got on?

You have my last allotted six-star rating. I have read several of these entries and this is so far the easiest to read. To top it off, the poem gives a lot of interesting facts. Very well done.

Oh, wow, you did a wonderful job with this writing challenge. I was engrossed in your poem and learned something about spiders and their webs that I, honestly, never gave any thought to. Regards, Lilly
