I keep missing your posts that are for these anonymous contests! You met the contest challenge perfectly using those words and creating a happy scene. I liked your simile of "Like a spider watching her unhatched young."

Dear Helen, Thank yo for your review and the five stars.
The idea of the watcher being like "a spider watching over her unhatched young" came to me as I wrote. It fitted the bill nicely. With just a touch of menace. cheers Cass

You did a good job writing this story with the required vocabulary. It gives me the creeps to think of a spider watching over people, though. Best wishes to you.

Dear Jessie, Thank you for your review and the five stars. I have changed the artwork to show a crowd of children playing under a fire hydrant The picture of a spider gave the wrong impression, so it's been changed. The words are still the same.

There's a thing going around Facebook about killing a spider who had considered you their roommate. When I do a Use these Words poetry I bold the required words so reviewers can see I used them all. Good luck in the contest.

Dear Earl, Thank you for your review and the five stars.
There is also an Italian folk tale about a woman who kept a large, black spider alive in her house because whenever she approached it with "murder" in mind, it would shriek in fear and cower under her hand. It never ever bit her and it laid its eggs out in the shed, so the house was never infested. Or so the story goes.
I have enough problems using the computer now without attempting to use "bold" type. Thanks for the tip though, but for the time being I'll pass.
'bold" type as well
