-Very nice artwork and presentation, Jesse.
-The notes are interesting and show a
tradition in a different part of the country.
-You wrote a good poem with effective
imagery and rhyme.
-A very good opening line that
introduces the saying very well.
-I also like the contrast in the verses,
like the second verse about rain coming at night.
-My favorite verse is the next one about
happy days and "tears fall like rain..."
-A good concluding verse, too.
-You did a good job with this!

I love this poem, and I can't say no to the true and hilarious line, "Climate Change is strange." Cuz it IS! Thank you very much for sharing this spectacular piece!

I was reading that even if the reforms to reverse climate change came into vogue, it would only change by .3 of a degree, which isn't enough really, a beautifully written, composed and rhymed poem Jesse, blessings Roy

This is:
1) a good poem, concerning an important topic -> plenty of readers can relate to it,
2) a work with a good structure. Repetition of the phrase "Climate Change is strange" sounds like a chorus in a song. The phrase "Climate Change is strange" is catchy.

--An awesome poem with nice presentation and imagery. It flows well with good descriptive words that paint a clear vision.

--The theme is contemporary and an excellent choice to showcase an important issue. I live in California too :(

Hi Gypsy. I know you live in California just like I do. I love the quote by Atticus, I never heard of this quote before, but it is a good one. I am glad you liked the theme and thought it was an important issue to showcase.
    Thanks for the extra hugs!

Very well done satire. We can choose to be bleak or we can try to look on the bright side....I can't imagine what a drought would be like, that doesn't happen in Minnesota. Thank you for sharing. :)

Good morning, Jesse!
I enjoyed your satirical take on Climate Change. Is it sunny or rainy where you are today? I can tell you that I am once again sitting in front of a fire, wrapped in a comforter, and it's the end of May!
Love your perspective!
Thank you for sharing, especially: "Extreme weather passes gas" = indeed!

    Good morning, Diane!
It is foggy this morning but lately, it has been humid and warm.
It all depends on the place where you live.
Love and perspective as you say!
I hope it warms up for you soon!
I am glad you liked the passes gas phrase.
Have a lovely and toasty day!

Yes we say that about it being a beautiful day - which it is - but mankind at the same time resents the sun, knows his need for rain, but wants the rain on his own terms - during the night. Says a lot about man's self-centredness and ingratitude. Did man appreciate the rain in previous years, and was he thankful before that there was no drought? Very satirical!

I got a real charge out of your second line, Extreme weather passes gas. That is about the size of it too. One great big burp of that lambastes the planet with some most unpleasant fumes.

Climate Change is a serious problem, but it sure would be nice to have a summer that wasn't filled with smoke and devastating 117F temperatures.

Despite sparking a bit of trepidation I quite enjoyed this, Jesse. :))

Thank you, Gloria, for your insightful commentary on Climate Change and how it is a serious problem on our planet.
I wasn't aware of how the smoke and high temperatures affected Canada as well as California. I guess I have a myopic view of my state when all around me there are devastating examples of Climate Change.
I am glad you got the one about the weather passing gas!
I am happy you found enjoyment in this piece of satire.

Jesse,
Yes, climate change is an important topic. This tells us that climate change can make our weather topsy turvy. It also shows how indecisive humans are about the weather. We hate it when it rains but pray for it in drought. I just usaually pray that areas get the amout of rain they need for crops and plants to grow.
Keep writing and stay healthy

Thank you, Joan, for your commentary on Climate Change. Yes, we can be indecisive but I was making a point in a light satirical manner. I hope you got the satire!
I will keep writing and I hope you do as well.
