Quite an image, almost tongue in cheek humor. Certainly deserves a gallows chuckle: This game is stupid. I don't want to knock you over with lame effects. I want to tear out your spine and strangle you with the cord." I suppose watching it on the screen, might be less attractive, but your way of having the characters is amusing to me: "Yes, agree totes. Switch to Mortal Kombat so I can wear your face and make Russian dolls from your organs." Quite an ending...or maybe only the beginning.

Oh, you dug out an older one :-). I had no chance in the contest I wrote this for - way too left field for most voters, lol. I did have a great time writing it, though. Thanks so much for the great comments!

I know all the games mentioned, I just haven't played them. I'm a RuneScape guy. The dialogue sounds something like what I hear when my grandson is playing though. I noted several spelling and grammatical errors, but I chalked them up to "conversational liberties".
Surprising ending. How and why did "real-life" enforcement get involved.
Anyway, good, fun read.

The real life law enforcement is based on a real phenomenon of online gamers calling in false police reports of hostage situations at their opponents' houses. Terrifying thought! I figured, if one of these two was going to do it, it'd be the Russian leader. Bit on the nose, I know :-). Thanks for the great review!

Well done with this entertaining and highly creative approach to the challenge. It's been a while since I did FPS (Halo 2 probably) so this was a helpful refresher on appropriate gaming lingo. Hopefully Francis gets some frags from inside his Russian prison cell, if he is taken alive.
The only thing I would suggest for clarity is to make sure that all of your non-speaking action sequences are either in parentheses or italicized or something, to fully delineate them from the spoken lines. you do this with about half of the sequences I think.

Thank you:-). I still game a bit but the rage you see in online games is astonishing and puts me off playing with others. As such, it seemed the perfect setting for the contest, which required a game that gets out of control.

I must admit, I've never played on an Xbox so I recognise any of the language, but I do know bad language, I was a long time competitive sportsman, the closest I've got is Wii. Well done, a well crafted script, whic are quite rare, beautifully written, good luck, blessings
